BONSAÏ POTS
Our
bonsaï pots are of stoneware which is frost-resistant
as the body is vitrified (fired at 1 300° degrees). The pots
are fired in a wood-fired kiln - often with accidents - happy or
otherwise!
We go to great pains with our bonsaï pots.
Each pot has one large drainage hole and three small ones if you need
to bind the tree.
The interior of the piece is is always left unglazed.
We make unglazed or glazed or decorated or in porcelain
...
We use different clays for different body colours, we are trying new
clays just right now : one very dark, another whith big grog (between 2
and 6 mm diameter), another that should be like stone...
We make conch too.
